Proudly Announcing: Print of the Month
Collecting original prints is an important part of being a photographer. I learned so much about making prints of my work by having Ansel Adams' Oak Tree, Snowstorm and Paul Caponigro's Redding Stream, Connecticut nearby while I made prints of my own work. Not only did those original prints provide a clue on what a master image should look like (both physically and aesthetically), they have kept me inspired with my own work particularly when at times I felt lost. Through them I found my way again.
Years ago the great photographer Edward Weston began something he called PRINT OF THE MONTH. Basically he would offer a new image each month at a price that was well below than they could be usually purchased for. He wanted to find a way for beginning and advanced collectors to easily acquire his work.Because he was making the prints in quantity he was able to pass along savings to collectors of his work.
In the spirit of Edward, we begin our PRINT OF THE MONTH. The way it will work is that we will choose one image each month and offer it for a substantial savings to newsletter subscribers for one month only. Typically I sell an 11x14-inch print of my work through the gallery or my studio, at the beginning of an edition, for $800. I am pleased to offer these PRINT OF THE MONTH images for $350. complete with delivery to the continental USA (delivery to Alaska and Hawaii will be additional). Please note only 10 prints will be available at this incredible price and the offer will expire at the end of a given month when a new print will be announced. Prints will not be watermarked.
You may simply purchase one print. Or you may purchase all 12, the choice is yours. And if you purchase all 12 prints for 2020 you will receive a beautiful archival print box to store your prints in. Also if you prepay for all 12 prints, you will receive an additional 10% off the purchase when paid in full. Please call the studio for details. (505/983.2934) Each archival pigment print will be handmade, numbered and signed by yours truly and dry mounted on museum rag board. All prints are carefully packaged and shipped to you fully insured. Please call with questions and order over the telephone by calling me at (505) 983-2934.
In addition, you can contact me by email here. Building a collection of original photographs is an important and rewarding way of enriching your own work and life as a photographer. It has been a great joy of mine to collect the photographs I love over the years. I hope you will join our PRINT OF THE MONTH group.
Yours in the magic and beauty of the photograph,
